"YO-YO" in Paradise is my acronym for "You're On Your Own". This is not a site for tourist info on Costa Rica. It's just some Tales and Tattles of my experiences, observations, and the ups and downs of every day living by the Pacific Coast in Costa Rica.
These Scarlet Macaws come around my house everyday. You'd think by now I would have a good photo of them in flight. I am on a mission now to get a really good shot after having taken my snapshot of them today. They are magnificent in flight. Photos taken this morning.

Aren't these magnificent .. I think the parrot family is one of my favs. They are such great subjects to paint as well. The fact you have them in the Wild is the best part. Speaking of In the Wild, I have finally retired and off and Flying too , So take care of yourself and when I mosey down your way next year,I look forward to saying Howdy Teri Tica Macha ( boy does that sing)..hasta
Beautiful! I can't imagine seeing them outside my home everyday----how cool!
When I "retired" earlier this year, I toyed with the idea of a small, tasteful tattoo. Call it a mid-life crisis, if you want. But it had to be special...a lapa, but it HAD to be in flight, to celebrate my new freedom. I've searched but haven't yet found a shot that would translate well to the skin. Keep trying to get that shot, and I will ask your permission to use it. Your first pic is close!
Beth.
