Church on Sunday

I know, you all think I go inside these churches but I don't. I take photos of them and post them on my blog to memorialize my mother. She was always in church on Sunday, God rest her soul. She would be proud and fascinated to see the various churches in Costa Rica. I do it for her.
Today, my 'soapbox sermon' message to you is:
CHANGE or BE CHANGED.
This should be typed in flashing red indicator warning light letters. I don't know how to do that but just remember these four little words, Change or be changed. Burn it into you conscience thinking until it becomes your way of life.
You know what I'm talking about... you know the roof leaks but it's dry season now and you wait to get it repaired but now it's raining and ..... you get the picture. We wait for what? to make us make a change. Our options are sometimes less and more stressed when we wait to be changed.
If life has taught me anything, it is to be PROACTIVE than reactive.
Change or be changed, it's so simple.
Before you click onto comments to leave me a message (I wish) or click over to another's blog, write it down... "Change or be changed".
Pura Vida, Teri

Thank you for your comments. I rarely preach but this motto has been burned in my brain for years, I just fail to practice it at times and I always learn the lesson over again.

I read the book "A New Earth" by Eckhart Tolle today and it's as good as Oprah claims it to be.
Well worth the read and the day it took to read it.
The on-line 10 week class begins tomorrow night for the WHOLE WORLD to participate. Amazing, huh?

go to www.oprah.com for details to attend.

This wouldn't have anything to do with a dead battery now, would it:)?

No, this has everything to do with everything. There was nothing wrong with my battery but it was 3 yrs. old and I did change it before it just quit on me in the middle of nowhere. The problem was my starter ($365 later). There is no way to be proactive with that. Costa Rica and cars, you are definitely on your own maintaining them with all the obstacles and potholes.

I'm enjoying the "positive" slant on posts lately. I'm thinking about the Oprah thing...haven't committed yet but who knows what today will bring. Tried to sign up yesterday but he site was down. A sign? Will let you know if I do it.

Teri!
I can't believe we wrote about the same thing on the very same day. That is certainly serendipity. You articulated it beautifully!

I'm reading A New Earth and although I have read many books about the ego, authenticity, etc., it sure is good to be reminded and go back to practicing.
I wrote Church on Sunday Saturday afternoon but wanted to post it early for those that subscribe could read it early.
Yes, I was surprised to read our minds were on the same track. Teri

Hi Teri - how did you read the book online? I'm trying to find it, but no luck so far. Thank you!

New Earth was a wonderful read and I am looking forward to the online program. But the first book he wrote "The Power Of Now" should not be missed, this is the book that started it all.

You can get the book from www.ebooks.com.
Yes, I am looking forward to reading The Power of Now.
Since I studied Religions of the World and Philosophy in college, I've been addicted to books of this nature.
Man and His Symbols (Carl Yung) really got me going trying to learn more. I always fall back to the Bible for spiritual guidance.

Cable Tica has ABC blocked so I missed Oprah's Big Give last night. It will be on again.
I doubt my internet speed is fast enough for the on-line class but they will be offering an alternative to take the class.
It's an amazing achievement to unite the world for this book.
