"YO-YO" in Paradise is my acronym for "You're On Your Own". This is not a site for tourist info on Costa Rica. It's just some Tales and Tattles of my experiences, observations, and the ups and downs of every day living by the Pacific Coast in Costa Rica.
Do you ever run out of things to blog about?
I have. I am hoping something sparks my interest soon (besides surf photos).
Any ideas or feedback?

Hey, you might check out www.VerveEarth.com, a site for bloggers built on a GoogleMaps interface. You can add your blog to the global mosaic, drive traffic, and add a widget to your blog. Cheers! -VerveEarth Team
My dear, you live at the beach. Us mountain folks LOVE the ocean and surf pics. You surfside office is a welcome vacation for those getting snow in the states. Are they getting snow yet? If feels like we're ready for it here with temps in the low 60's.
Two weeks of school left, can't wait to get back to the beach. Hey, if you get a chance collect some sand dollars for me. The wind blew mind all over the place when the paint was drying and they shattered! Such a sad day. I did get enough for one wreath.
What a shame about the sand dollars. I have only seen them at the "secret beach" you guys stayed, and only at certain times.
I guess I forget where I live is "special" and others would like to see it as well.
This picture is PERFECT! The other day I saw a whole family napping on a blanket under their 18 wheeler by the side of the road with traffic whizzing by all around. Mom had her arm around the baby... perfectly pura vida! I was driving too fast to get a shot. This is excellent - thank you!
Amigita,
I agree with Jen; your photos are so lovely and tell a story of a life that most people will never see in person. You have the eye of an artist and I look forward to seeing new photos on your blog; I check every day, no pressure!
If you are temporarily out of words, speak with your camera, your audience loves it.

Hola Tica,
Idea tip #1 - go shopping. When I do, I always find items, stores, and incidents to blog about or interesting photos to write about.
Tip #2 - write when you have the inspiration, even if it is just a few sentences to keep the thought in mind. Then go back later and touch up those articles when you need something. I try to keep an inventory of drafts for those days when I have nothing or just don't have the time to blog.
Tip #3 - don't feel like you have to post every day. I'm guilty of this. Remember that we came here to get away from the stress and pressure!
Tip #4 - write about gallo pinto!
LOVE the photos... they bring back the best memories of when I lived my summers in Costa Rica!
Please keep the photos coming!
Have you blogged about driving in Jaco? We find it to be somewhat like video game, you know what I mean the lax rules about which side of the street to drive on, taking your life in your hands if you pause, as someone for sure will take that nano-second to jog in front of you with their truck, not to mention the skate boarders, bicyclists and occasional "huecos' that make driving in the area rather unique.
