TEMBLOR - a week later...

I have since changed my mind about preferring earthquakes to hurricanes. I'll take something I can run from any day over an earthquake (or a volcanic eruption). It didn't effect the Jaco area but other parts of Costa Rica, in the provinces of Alajuela, Heredia, Cartago and San José, weren't so fortunate. Check out The REAL Costa Rica blog: http://blog.therealcostarica.com/2009/01/14/the-power-of-the-earthquake/

amen to that teri.. In today's age of information I would rather deal with a hurricane than an earthquake, Mother Nature's way of saying "BOO!.."

I am still in shock and awe over the devastation and loss of housing for both humans and animals in that area effected by the earthquake. It's hard to imagine living thru something like that (the earth opening up).
If a hurricane is "Boo", then an earthquake must be "welcome to hell".

I talked to Zet on the phone, not sure if you know him, he was in San Jose and told me the place is a mess, it breaks my heart! USA sent helicopters over to help find people...
Glad you are safe...
