I haven't a clue what kind of plant this is but have asked a expert for his input. It looks like an orchid but the plant is HUGE!
Answer from Henry: "The plant is a type of ginger called a shell ginger."

Beautiful! do you know what the name of that plant is?
Nope, sure don't know what it is but I'll take a photo of the whole thing. Maybe someone will tell us.
I have written to Henry K. and hopefully, he will let us know.
It is a prolific bloomer but takes up a lot of space.
